A mobius strip is a mathematical marvel.  It was discovered by German mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius in 1858.

What is exactly a Möbius strip? The Mobius strip is called a nonorientable surface.  In other words, it’s a surface with only one side. Sound crazy?

Making a mobius strip is so easy but fun. Students should be able to see art, math, and engineering all in this infinite loop. Mrs. Zhang showed the students at DeYi WanXiao how to craft a mobius strip out of paper and explained how the idea of a mobius strip applied in our daily life.

Every single student successfully made her/his mobius strips. They were so excited, raising the loops high in the air, waved them back and forth, exclaiming loudly, “Look, I did it!”

Check out the video below. Many thanks to Mrs. Xu, who took all the pictures and helped students locally.
