春节过后，小朋友们和张老师一起做的第一件手工就是迎接新年，喜气洋洋的中国龙。
We were so happy to see all the students return to school after the winter break. It is a new lunar year. We taught everybody how to make a Chinese Dragon, which was our first teamwork craft. That means everybody laid out their hand prints as the dragon body and then colored the dragon’s head and tail. Since it was a big piece of work, all parts of the dragon needed to be laid out proportionally as well as aesthetically. The first picture shows the Chinese dragon made by 6th graders, the second by 5th graders. We love both of them!
简简单单的每个同学的手印，汇集拼图一起就是非常漂亮的大型手工。看则简单，也要计划如何就地取材，如何摆放龙头，龙身，龙尾位置，如何搭配颜色，这个中国龙特别好地诠释了我们集体的智慧和努力的可贵。这里我们看到了得宜完小校长，老师，同学们的齐心协力，中国龙做得漂亮极了！
